Patty and I started the day in Tucumcari, NM. The sunrise through our hotel room window was stunning so we both were in a good mood when we went for a quick run in the empty fields outside.
A few of the trees and bushes had some fall color, but mostly we were just in cactus. Patty managed to get stuck a few times. I needed leather gloves and the Leatherman Tool to clean him up before we loaded up the truck and headed out.
The day ended in Dodge City, KS. I dropped Patty off at the kennel (where he was the lone setter with about 20 pointers) and I went on to meet Tod.
Tomorrow, we’re off to our deer hunting stands!
