California’s quail season closes tomorrow and so, to honor the occasion, I pulled out a few still photos from a late season hunt that Patty and I did up north in Shasta County.  We only saw a few coveys and we didn’t get any birds shot but it was a great two days nonetheless.

My friend Ron was nice enough to show us a few bits of public ground that had held quail in the past and, we hope, will offer even more next year.  He also carried the camera and filmed us too.  Thanks Ron.
