Patty has had several incidents where foxtails have been caught, and hidden, in the long hair between his toes. They can work their way in and cause serious problems so lately I’ve been trying to keep his toe hair trimmed and neat.
One day, while we were doing some grooming, Patty’s left front paw was tender. On closer inspection, I found, and removed a thorn. It serves as a perfect example of why field dogs need regular grooming and why long haired breeds like Llewellyn Setters need a bit of extra care.
