Vimeo, the online video community that Patty Outdoors uses as a hosting service, has weekly contests where members are challenged to complete small projects to certain specifications. A few weeks ago the subject was “Fall” and the specified time limit was 5 secs plus 3 secs for a title and credits. I had a little material from Kansas last year that I thought told a good story and threw this together.
Anyone who’s spent time in a tree stand understands the flush of excitement when you hear the crunching of deer footsteps approaching through the dry fall leaves. Most times the experience doesn’t lead to a shot for one reason or another and you hear the same crunching fading away.
Admittedly, the winners were more clever but IMHO, mine captured that particular fall experience pretty well.
